In the fall of 2014, the DSEF funded the official launch of the multi-year Challenge Success initiative for grades K – 12. An innovative, research-based program out of the Stanford University School of Education, Challenge Success aims to reduce unhealthy pressures on youth and to champion a broader definition of success in our schools in communities.
DS was the first East Coast school district participating in Challenge Success and the DSEF is pleased to be able to support this important effort to help our students build resiliency and manage stress.
Challenge Success will help DS schools maintain our high academic standards, while promoting a positive, healthy balance for students and providing them with the academic, social and emotional skills they need to maintain this as they move forward in their lives.
