Gift will be used to fund grants to benefit all four schools.
The Dover Sherborn Education Fund announced that it has received a $50,000 gift from Middlesex Savings Bank. This donation will allow the DSEF to continue to fund improvements and augmentations to curriculum, programs and services beyond that which is supported in the annual school budgets.
“This exceedingly generous gift will have a significant impact on our schools and on our ability to fund the kinds of programs that make a real difference for our students. We are very grateful to Middlesex Savings Bank for their investment in the future of our children and we applaud their active support of the communities in which they do business,” said Sarah O’Connell, DSEF Co-President.
The Dover-Sherborn Education Fund, a private, volunteer, non-profit organization, has raised more than $3 million over the past thirty years to enhance the Dover Sherborn schools, funding numerous grants through contributions from the local community.
“Middlesex Savings Bank has great respect for the education foundations in our community,” said Michael McAuliffe, President and CEO of Middlesex Savings Bank. “They work hard to support projects and programs that foster learning and creativity. We hope these donations will make their jobs easier this year and are excited to see their existing academic programs flourish or new ones come to life.”
